Choosing a great niche subject to base your website around is paramount to your blogging success. Do you want to choose a killer niche for yourself? Choose something you are passionate about. Why? Because you will put more of yourself into it. And the more you put yourself into it, the more you are creating the road to your success. so really think about the niche you want to be in. Then choose a product that compliments your niche topic (and pays a good commission). The next step is to choose your keywords.

Your niche is what you are going to be building on and you can target your specific audience with the keywords you select based on what your target audience is most likely to be searching for. Keep this in the forefront of your mind - what search term is someone going to use to get to my site or product?

The way to find the optimum keywords for your niche subject is to use a keyword software program like Google Adwords (which is a free service).

Type in the word or phrase you think someone searching for your site or product would use. Adwords will respond by generating a list of keywords or phrases that include your phrase and other words or phrases similar to what you typed in.

This information is very valuable because it shows you how many sites are out there competing for your term, and you will get a monthly figure of how many people have made that actual search. What you are looking for is the most searched for terms with the least amount of competition.

To do a quick check of how many competitors you have for a term, you can just type your term into Google. In the upper right hand area of the page you will see the number of responses for that term - yep, that’s the competition.

You will have to decide which of these would be most profitable. This is not an exact science. Opinions run rampant in all directions on how to select the most profitable avenue.

Some internet marketers like a small amount of competition, say under 50,000. Others will tell you to go ahead and take the plunge into a market with a million competitors or more because that clearly indicates the product you are offering is popular.

If you are just starting out, I would recommend that you don’t go with anything that has over 200,000 competitors. The reason being, the more competitors, the harder it is to get your site ranked on the first, second or third page of Google (so people can find your site). Research has shown that most people aren’t going to go past the third or forth page of Google to find what they are looking for. And the less competition in your area, the easier it will be for you to rank.

As you gain confidence with your success along the way, you may want to start swimming in that bigger pond.

What is blogging when we are talking about how a person blogs virally? This in one question people ask many times when they get into the world of online marketing. When we are talking about blogging virally, there are many different aspects to it. One aspect of it, certainly has to do with social bookmarking sites. This article will outline just one of the benefits of social bookmarking for you.
Many people who have not paid much attention to social bookmark sites in the past actually don’t really know what they are for. They also sometimes don’t understand how these sites can help them in terms of their viral capabilities. In reality, these sites can be a big help to your overall viral marketing efforts. Let’s have a quick look at how these sites work and how they can help you.

Social bookmarking sites can act as a main repository for people browsing the net. Everytime they visit a site, they can simply enter this site, blog, or blog post into a social site for quickly revisiting later. So what and how does that tie in to the question of “What is blogging virally?” Well, in terms of your search engine rankings it can mean a lot. The more sites and blog posts you have in these sites the better you will be.

One of the main things a blogger should be doing for his or her readers is providing very good and interesting content on their blog. If they can keep readers happy and interested in what they are blogging about, then they are more apt to want to return to your site more often. So, it goes without question a bloggers life is much of the time spent on finding and supplying this content for their readers. A glorious life? Perhaps not, but if you are designing a business around blogging then it is of the utmost importance.

As a blogger having your sites bookmarked by many readers will help your business greatly. The amount of bookmarking sites on the internet is starting to get into the hundreds. Each and every time a person places a bookmark to your blog inside of one of these sites counts for a link going back to your particular post or blog. In terms of SEO this is fantastic. Many of the social bookmarking sites have a good page rank which will give you an instant boost in the search engines. Imagine having hundreds or thousands of blog posts bookmarked in the social sites. Are you beginning to see the importance on how this can help you with your business efforts.

In answer to one of the questions of to what is blogging virally let’s look at it this way. In essence, what is happening is that your blog visitors are virally building your backlinks back to your blog for you. If you know the time it takes to go out and create all of these links for your search engines manually I’m sure you can see the benefit in this. It means a lot less work for you in the long run. For this reason, it is crucial for you to be providing great interesting content. The better the content, the more your readers enjoy your blog, the more links going back to your site. There isn’t many things better than other people helping to build your business!

Most people know about weblogs, also known as blogs. What most people don’t know is that you can make a nice income with a free blog.

I’ve been an online marketer for some time now, and not doing too bad. After hearing about how some people are making money with blogs, I needed to know what the fuss was all about. After all, I paid a decent amount of money to have my website, onlinefortunes.biz, built. These people are earning an income with a FREE blog!

I did some research and found out that, with the possible exception being ”Bloggers Guide To Profits”, there were no quality information products with solid content about making money with blogs. I purchased the “Bloggers Guide To Profits” ebook and actually made some money. Not a lot, but it was worth the effort I put into it. Considering most of my time and effort goes into my website the blogs did okay.

Then I ran into ”
Blogging to the Bank” by Rob Benwell.

I immediately bought a copy and read the whole thing the same night. What I liked right away was the tone in which the book was written. This guy isn’t a “guru” (although I know you’re going to hear a lot about him and this ebook), so he doesn’t talk “down” on you. He’s really down to earth. A lot of the info was familiar territory for me because of the knowledge I got from the “Bloggers Guide To Profit” ebook. Yet I read a few things that made me ask myself: Why didn’t I think of that? My blogs were already making me great affiliate profits, but I wasn’t tapping into their full potential. There were topics that weren’t covered (or not extensive enough) in the first ebook.

Topics like: researching and selecting a (niche) market to start off, effectively creating and placing ads on your blog and easy ways to get content.
But the chapters that impressed me the most were “Blogging SEO tips” (most people think effective Search Engine Optimization is difficult, but it’s NOT) and “How to flood your blog with targeted traffic”. I believe that anybody that wants to make money online (with blogs or otherwise) should know these powerful tips. Most programs or ebooks tell you about SEO but the detail in which Rob explains this, makes it no harder than following step by step instructions. The same goes for getting traffic: Plenty of info out there, but targeted traffic is not always that easy to come by.

Rob explains a few solid methods of getting targeted traffic to your blog quickly and easily. The results I got from these tips were astounding. I even applied them to my website and watched my traffic turn into targeted visitors.

The affiliate profits from my blog are now more than my website sales. Way more. And I’m confident that anybody can do this, if they can follow easy step by step instructions. I highly recommend ”
Blogging to the Bank” for making a solid income without any hard work. Of course there’s some work involved, but like the rich say: The trick is to work smart, not hard.
