SEO copywriting is the creation of keyword articles for search engine optimization. The idea is to use carefully selected keywords sprinkled throughout the article to attract the attention of search engines. You need to strike a balance when doing this. The primary purpose of the article is to boost your search engine rankings, but the article has to be readable as well.
When doing SEO copywriting, you need to know your subject matter. People using search engines are looking for information. Do some research about your product or service before you begin. Make some notes. Create an entertaining and informative article. If it is obvious that you don’t know what you’re talking about, this will turn readers off; remember, readers are potential customers.

You also need to research your keywords when writing SEO articles. The most commonly searched keywords may not be the best, as many other webmasters will be using the same ones. You may want to try using a less frequently searched but more targeted keyword or phrase to draw higher quality traffic to your website.

One major pitfall of SEO copywriting is overusing keywords. You do need a certain keyword density to attract the attention of search engines, but you don’t want to use the same one too many times. A good rule of thumb is to use your keyword about once every one hundred words. You should also think about having a few secondary keywords, and working them into the body of your article as well. Make sure you work them into the text in a natural fashion. An article that is obviously no more than a container for keywords can be a turnoff for your readers.

Finally, when you’ve written your article, proofread and spell-check it. Your article should not contain spelling or grammar errors. Many readers will consider sloppy writing to be a sign of laziness, and possibly of incompetence. Remember, the purpose of SEO copywriting is to attract visitors to your website who will hopefully turn into customers for your business. The last thing you want to do is give your readers a negative impression of your product or service by having sloppily written articles on your website.

There’s more to writing SEO articles than using keywords. The articles must be well-crafted and informative as well. Work your keywords into the article in a way that is natural, and don’t overuse them. An article can be completely search engine optimized, but if it isn’t readable, it will do you no good. Remember, your target audience is the reader, not the search engine.

It is getting so tough to analyze how google rank sites these days ! google is not like before adding more sophesticated filter , changing its Algo daily just to confuse webmasters who follow its new serp positioning strategy so what would be top issues for any seo to consider , the below are important issue that it require to be taking care of first !

1. Picking strategic keywords.
2. Making sure these strategic keywords appear in the crucial locations on web pages.

3. Including lots of relevant text content in the body of the HTML page.

4. Avoiding image map links - some search engines can’t follow these - use HTML hyperlinks instead.

5. Avoiding frames - some search engines can’t follow framed links.

6. Avoiding dynamically generated pages - if pages are generated via CGI or database-delivery, it is expected that some of the search engines will not be able to index them. Consider creating static pages whenever possible, perhaps using the database to update the pages, not to generate them on the fly. Also, avoiding symbols in URLs, especially the symbol, as most search engines will not be able to read past these, and will not be able to index that page.

7. Using Meta Tags (including tags on images).

8. Including a reciprocal links page.

9. Including a site index / map page in plain HTML.

10. Submitting site to search engines via manual submissions and paid inclusion services, but avoiding unwittingly submitting to the same search engine database, and getting site banned from its index.

11. Remembering to submit the site to the major directories such as Yahoo and relevant minor directories.

12. Not relying on automated technology, it may get pages banned (e.g. Cloaked pages, IP redirects, meta-refresh, auto submissions etc).

13. It is not better to expect overnight success, the longer it takes time for optimization, the better the results.

14. It may seem easy to do in-house, but it will work out cheaper and much more effective using a specialist search engine marketing firm, who are constantly researching the market.

15. Use headings as h1, h2 because search engines interpret headline text as more important.

16. Bolded text is also considered more important by the search engines. Bolding the primary keyword phrase 1-3 times on the page is a good way to alert the engines to the phrases prominence and importance.

17. Image alt tags should contain a brief text description of the photo/image.
